It gives a technical overview of various baseband MPEG-2 interfaces that are used to communicate MPEG data packets between co-located pieces of MPEG equipment. It reviews such interfaces as DVB-ASI, DVB-SSI, DVB-SPI; IEEE-1394 (Firewire); SMPTE 310M; SMPTE 305M; Motorola's DHEI; Terayon (formerly DiviCom) M2S, & M2P; and Scientific Atlanta SWIF.
