WooshCom® Corporation is a Denver based hi-technology firm specializing in the design and manufacturing of proprietary electronic products  to manage MPEG Transport Streams in Cable TV headends.

WooshCom entered the Cable TV industry as a behind-the-scenes test equipment supplier to Motorola Inc. (then General Instrument).   WooshCom's 1st products were specially developed for Motorola and were used in their internal R&D labs and throughout their worldwide production facilities to test their satellite receivers and set-top boxes on their production line.  CableLabs and third party set-top box software developers have also found this product to be an indispensable tool in the development and verification of interactive set-top-box software.

WooshCom unveiled their first proprietary product in a line of innovative MPEG-2 Interface Adapters.  These adapters, were game-changers and immediately vanquished the half-a-dozen competitors in the market and went on to not only achieve 98% market share but also essentially redefined the market by opening the possibility of applications that were previously considered unfeasible.   Innovative dual encryption approaches such as Cisco's Overlay was made possible by virtue of WooshCom's products.

These adapters were then followed by other products bridging the inevitable gap between today's Cable TV headends and the headend of the future by solving practical real-life headend issues.  An innovative line of self-installable battery kits for a huge installed base of satellite receiver/transcoders enabled cable operators throughout the U.S. and Canada to save over $13.26 Million in new equipment expenditures.

Today, WooshCom's products continue to help operators manage the underlying MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 data in MPEG Transport Streams.
